PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything you need for a restock alert. Everything kept on your device.
No analytics, tracking pixels, or usage reports. CartFox doesn’t collect your browsing activity or send your watchlist to a server.
Stock checks run on your computer. Your watchlist, preferences, and alerts stay in your browser. No cloud monitoring service.
No email, sign-up, or new password. Start watching, pause checks, or export your data whenever you want.
No shared monitoring server in the middle.
LOCAL HAS ITS ADVANTAGES
CartFox checks through your own Chrome session and connection. One store at a time, with space between visits.
That can help reduce bot-detection triggers associated with shared monitoring servers. Your normal store session stays in place, and checks back off when they fail.
Stores can still ask for verification. CartFox doesn’t bypass their protections or guarantee a restock.
GOOD TO KNOW
CartFox stores your watches, preferences, and alert history on this device and runs checks here in Chrome. It doesn’t send them to a backend or analytics service. Retailers still receive normal page requests and may use their own cookies and tracking when their pages load.
We don’t. We’ll let the community tell us what additional features they’d pay for. We may also earn affiliate commissions if we can partner with stores. Our core functionality will stay free.
Keep Chrome running, a Chrome window open, and your computer awake. Checks resume when you return, but a brief restock between checks can be missed. Browser scheduling can also delay checks.
Using your real browser session and spacing out checks may reduce some triggers compared with a shared monitoring server. This is a design benefit, not a measured guarantee. Stores can still block a check or ask you to verify. The extension reports that a check needs attention instead of treating it as sold out.
Start with PS5 and PS5 Pro at Best Buy, Target, GameStop, Costco, PS Direct, Walmart, Amazon, Sam’s Club, Newegg in the US. You can also add direct product URLs at supported stores. Availability depends on the selected offer, location, and store session. Costco may require a membership.
Chrome asks for site access at installation. The extension uses that access to open and read the product pages you explicitly choose at supported stores. It also uses local storage, scheduled checks, and desktop notifications. It doesn’t collect general browsing history.
